Responsibilities
- Build high-performance, data-intensive search and data systems for on-device intelligent experiences.
- Develop backend data pipelines, storage and retrieval systems, intelligent indexing, and search technologies.
- Write reliable, resilient, performant, and well-tested code for multithreaded applications.
- Collaborate with teams across Apple to deliver infrastructure used by millions of users.
- Debug and optimize production software in resource-constrained environments.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
- Strong computer science fundamentals, problem-solving skills, debugging skills, and technical communication abilities.
- Hands-on experience with at least one compiled language such as C, C++, Objective-C, Swift, Go, Java, or Rust.
- Experience building production software systems within large engineering projects.
- Familiarity with database systems and operating system concepts is preferred.
- Experience with performance profiling and tracing tools is preferred.
- Experience with macOS or iOS development is preferred.
