Responsibilities
- Design, specify, and document a modern telemetry stack with an architect.
- Lead implementation and deployment of the telemetry stack.
- Develop dashboards and reports measuring service efficiency and reliability.
- Provide best-practice advice and consultancy to other technology teams adopting the telemetry stack.
- Troubleshoot issues in development and production environments.
- Provide timely progress updates on allocated tasks.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of professional software development experience.
- At least 3 years of experience with logging and telemetry software such as OpenTelemetry, Kibana, Grafana, and Prometheus.
- Expertise in coding standards, version control, automated testing, and CI/CD practices.
- Excellent communication skills for complex, long-distance technical discussions.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
- Preferred experience with Kubernetes solutions, Red Hat OpenShift, and high-volume services.
- Preferred experience supporting engineers and managers with adoption of new technologies.
- Agile development experience using the Scrum framework is preferred.
