Responsibilities

  • Own and advance secure-by-default cloud controls across Google Cloud.
  • Design and deliver efficient cloud security engineering solutions for technical and business partners.
  • Define Cloud IAM, RBAC, and least-privilege controls.
  • Architect and deliver production-grade cloud-native systems and containerized applications across Azure and GCP.
  • Build and maintain continuous integration and deployment pipelines using Terraform and CFT.
  • Lead or support cloud security incident response, root cause analysis, and corrective action plans.
  • Develop Google Cloud security policies and standards based on industry cybersecurity standards.
  • Track security posture KPIs, control coverage, remediation velocity, and residual risk, and report updates to leadership.
  • Share security insights, industry practices, and emerging technology perspectives across the organization.
  • Partner with platform, product, application, infrastructure, and security teams to embed security-by-design across cloud environments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree.
  • 4+ years of experience in software and cloud infrastructure engineering across various technology platforms.
  • Proven experience with Google Cloud Platform and cloud-native security tooling.
  • Experience architecting and delivering production-grade cloud-native systems using Azure or GCP.
  • Hands-on experience designing and building containerized applications.
  • Experience defining Cloud IAM, RBAC, and least-privilege principles.
  • Proven expertise with continuous integration and deployment pipelines using Terraform and CFT.
  • Experience managing priorities and making tradeoffs between delivery speed and perfection.
  • Ability to influence teams, communicate risks and rewards to management, and stay current with emerging trends.
  • Preferred experience using AI-assisted tools to improve engineering productivity, operational efficiency, or developer workflows.
  • Preferred experience with InsightCloudSec, Wiz, Zscaler, and Defender for Cloud.
