Base Salary
$140k - $200k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain features across Access Intelligence, event integrations, the browser extension phishing blocker, the shared Rust core library, and the Bitwarden Splunk app.
- Design and evolve APIs, data models, and encrypted report structures for enterprise-scale data.
- Partner with QA to ensure application testing is appropriate and complete.
- Review pull requests and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Collaborate with the Bitwarden open-source community on contributions and GitHub issues.
Requirements
- Extensive experience with .NET Core and C# for backend services.
- Strong proficiency with Angular, TypeScript, and RxJS.
- Deep understanding of relational database design, optimization, and SQL Server.
- Demonstrated ability to design and implement RESTful APIs.
- Experience building enterprise features where auditability, permissions, and compliance matter.
- Strong collaboration, adaptability, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Interest in open source and improving internet security.
- Rust experience, particularly with cross-platform SDKs, is preferred.
- Python, Splunk, or other SIEM platform experience, including Datadog or Elastic, is preferred.
- Experience with zero-knowledge or client-side-encrypted systems is preferred.
- Browser extension development experience with Manifest V3, service workers, or IndexedDB is preferred.
- Experience using Claude Code or a similar generative AI coding platform is preferred.
- Startup experience, open-source experience, or Bitwarden user experience is a plus.
