Base Salary

$140k - $200k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain features across Access Intelligence, event integrations, the browser extension phishing blocker, the shared Rust core library, and the Bitwarden Splunk app.
  • Design and evolve APIs, data models, and encrypted report structures for enterprise-scale data.
  • Partner with QA to ensure application testing is appropriate and complete.
  • Review pull requests and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Collaborate with the Bitwarden open-source community on contributions and GitHub issues.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience with .NET Core and C# for backend services.
  • Strong proficiency with Angular, TypeScript, and RxJS.
  • Deep understanding of relational database design, optimization, and SQL Server.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and implement RESTful APIs.
  • Experience building enterprise features where auditability, permissions, and compliance matter.
  • Strong collaboration, adaptability, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Interest in open source and improving internet security.
  • Rust experience, particularly with cross-platform SDKs, is preferred.
  • Python, Splunk, or other SIEM platform experience, including Datadog or Elastic, is preferred.
  • Experience with zero-knowledge or client-side-encrypted systems is preferred.
  • Browser extension development experience with Manifest V3, service workers, or IndexedDB is preferred.
  • Experience using Claude Code or a similar generative AI coding platform is preferred.
  • Startup experience, open-source experience, or Bitwarden user experience is a plus.
