Base Salary
$100k - $179k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and develop API-driven integrations between network platforms and internal systems.
- Build and maintain Python-based automation frameworks and transform manual processes into repeatable workflows.
- Develop, test, support, and maintain enterprise software solutions, REST APIs, and workflow orchestration tools.
- Partner with network engineering, platform, and technology teams on infrastructure and architecture strategies.
- Support automation initiatives for product deployments, service delivery, customer journeys, and API development.
- Use GitHub Copilot and code-focused AI agents to assist with design, development, testing, analysis, and troubleshooting.
- Review and validate AI-assisted outputs for accuracy, maintainability, security, and operational risk.
Requirements
- 4+ years of software engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
- 3+ years of Python development experience building automation tools, system integrations, APIs, or workflow orchestration solutions.
- Experience designing, developing, testing, and supporting enterprise software solutions.
- Experience developing and consuming REST APIs, including authentication, schema validation, error handling, and versioning.
- Experience using source control and modern software development practices, preferably GitHub.
- Preferred experience with network engineering concepts, network infrastructure automation, and Nautobot.
- Preferred experience with FastAPI, Django, GraphQL, PostgreSQL, NoSQL databases, React, OAuth, MCP, and enterprise AI model or API integrations.
- Preferred experience developing microservices, RESTful APIs, and event-driven architectures.
- Preferred experience with Red Hat OpenShift, Cloud Foundry, Kubernetes, Unix/Linux, MongoDB, and Postman.
- Preferred experience with legacy infrastructure, modern cloud and container-based infrastructure, large-scale enterprise environments, and structured change management, security, risk, and release processes.
- Ability to evaluate AI-generated code and recommendations for accuracy, maintainability, security, and operational risk.
