Base Salary

$95k - $161k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Define and implement quality strategies for cloud-native AI and ML platforms.
  • Develop comprehensive test strategies, plans, cases, scripts, automated regression suites, test harnesses, and testing libraries.
  • Validate data, features, models, ML pipelines, inference, integrations, APIs, and ETL/ELT transformations.
  • Test AWS resources and infrastructure as code provisioned through Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Establish automated quality gates within delivery pipelines and define logs, metrics, traces, and other quality signals.
  • Lead validation of performance, scalability, reliability, resiliency, security, load, and functional requirements.
  • Track defects and quality metrics, perform audits and root-cause analysis, and recommend process improvements.
  • Lead quality engineering efforts for large initiatives and coordinate with internal teams and external vendor partners.
  • Provide quality-process training, mentor less experienced team members, and advise technical and business stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum five years of IT and/or relevant business experience, including at least four years of related experience.
  • Strong SQL and database-schema experience, including data querying and validation.
  • Hands-on experience building automation frameworks and executing automated testing.
  • Experience developing and reviewing test plans, test cases, and test scripts across multiple testing methodologies.
  • Experience testing ML frameworks and tools such as SageMaker, MLflow, or SnowflakeML.
  • Experience validating data platforms, ETL/ELT pipelines, data warehouses, AI/ML pipelines, models, integrations, and APIs.
  • Experience implementing automated testing in delivery pipelines and working in DevOps-oriented environments.
  • Experience testing cloud platforms, AWS resource provisioning, infrastructure as code, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • Ability to analyze technical documentation, requirements, architectures, database schemas, and system risks.
  • Experience mentoring junior quality engineering team members and working with geographically distributed teams.
  • CSTE, ISTQB, CP-SAT Selenium Automation Testing, or API certification is preferred; insurance-industry knowledge is a plus.
