Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain advanced simulation environments for robotic systems using ROS, Gazebo, and NVIDIA Isaac Sim.
- Develop and optimize 3D models and robot models for high-fidelity, scalable simulations.
- Collaborate with AI researchers, hardware engineers, and software developers to integrate simulation platforms with embodied AI systems.
- Lead the architecture and execution of simulation pipelines for prototyping, testing, and validating robotic algorithms and behaviors.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on simulation and robotics development.
- Monitor advances in robotics simulation and contribute to knowledge-sharing and innovation initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 3–6 years of hands-on experience in robotics simulation, preferably in an industrial or research setting.
- Expertise with ROS, Gazebo, and NVIDIA Isaac Sim.
- Strong proficiency with 3D modeling tools such as Blender or Solidworks and robot modeling technologies including URDF, SDF, and CAD integration.
- Experience building and managing scalable simulation environments for autonomous systems.
- Programming proficiency in Python and/or C++.
- Ability to troubleshoot, debug, and optimize simulation workflows.
- Experience with Ubuntu or similar Linux distributions.
- Exposure to cloud services and workflows.
- Preferred experience with reinforcement learning, machine learning, AI-driven robotics, cloud-based simulation, and distributed computing for large-scale simulations.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills; technical project or team leadership is highly desirable for the Lead position.
