Base Salary
$185k - $250k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement network and infrastructure systems from the ground up.
- Build scalable, fault-tolerant, low-latency, and cost-effective distributed systems.
- Develop infrastructure solutions capable of operating at AWS scale.
- Write, review, and maintain code using CDK, Java, Rust, and Python.
- Optimize client and server systems for performance, maintainability, scalability, and extensibility.
- Propose and implement tools, frameworks, automations, and engineering processes across Amazon Ads.
- Document and advocate software development practices and improve code review processes.
- Mentor engineers and support technical and career development across the engineering community.
Requirements
- 6+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- 6+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language.
- 6+ years of experience leading the design or architecture of new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or engineering team leader.
- Preferred: 6+ years covering the full software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
