Responsibilities

  • Develop and configure ServiceNow applications, catalog items, workflows, Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, Script Includes, UI Actions, and related platform components.
  • Design, develop, and troubleshoot integrations between ServiceNow and third-party systems using REST/SOAP APIs, OAuth, webhooks, Integration Hub, MCP, and iPaaS platforms such as Workato.
  • Monitor platform health, troubleshoot performance issues, optimize scripts and flows, and maintain scalable and supportable solutions.
  • Support and improve ITSM and HRSD applications, including Incident, Problem, Change, Request, and HR-related workflows and automations.
  • Administer roles, ACLs, permissions, and other access controls in accordance with security and audit requirements.
  • Act as an escalation point for platform incidents, perform root cause analysis, and coordinate resolution across technical teams and vendors.
  • Gather requirements, prioritize the backlog, design solutions, and deliver work through development, testing, deployment, and post-launch support.
  • Establish reusable standards for workflows, notifications, approvals, documentation, and user experiences.
  • Evaluate ServiceNow releases, test upgrades, remediate breaking changes, and adopt relevant platform capabilities.
  • Maintain technical, integration, and user documentation and provide support or training when needed.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience developing and administering ServiceNow, ideally across ITSM and/or HRSD.
  • Strong JavaScript skills, including ServiceNow scripting APIs such as GlideRecord and GlideAjax.
  • Experience with Flow Designer, Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, UI Policies, UI Actions, ACLs, and Service Catalog development.
  • Experience designing and troubleshooting REST/SOAP integrations, OAuth, webhooks, and enterprise integrations.
  • Strong understanding of ITSM processes and how they translate into ServiceNow solutions.
  • Ability to independently troubleshoot complex issues across ServiceNow and connected systems.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Experience translating stakeholder business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Preferred experience with HRSD, ITOM, Workday, identity or HR platforms, ServiceNow AI/GenAI capabilities including Now Assist, MCP, Service Portal, custom widgets, HTML, CSS, Workato, or other iPaaS platforms.
  • Preferred ServiceNow CSA or CAD certification, or ITIL 4 Foundation certification.

  • The stated total compensation range is $85,000-$105,000 CAD for candidates hired to work in Ontario.
