Responsibilities
- Integrate the robot software stack across simulation and real-world hardware while collaborating with autonomy, SLAM, computer vision, and manipulation specialists.
- Interface platform software with hardware drivers and implement deployment-ready code optimized for robotic computational constraints.
- Collaborate with DevOps on CI/CD integration and efficient build, test, and deployment processes.
- Provide technical guidance for field deployment, troubleshooting, and maintenance of robotic platforms.
- Advise product managers and executives on technical and strategic decisions.
- Create and maintain documentation, guidelines, and best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Robotics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- At least five years of industry or research experience, with applicable PhD experience.
- Strong robotics or autonomous-driving background spanning sensors, perception, mapping, localization, navigation, and control.
- Experience deploying software on hardware platforms.
- Production-level modern C++ programming skills and Python algorithm-prototyping experience.
- Experience with ROS (Robot Operating System).
- Preferred qualifications include a PhD or master’s degree, equivalent industry experience, autonomous robot/car/vehicle experience, and software team management experience.
