Base Salary
$160k - $200k/yr
Responsibilities
- Implement, maintain, and test software and hardware systems controlling heterogeneous computer devices.
- Define, document, implement, and test operating procedures for quantum computer operations.
- Manage development and testing infrastructure, including HIL setups, Kubernetes services, routers, switches, and test systems.
- Automate provisioning, configuration, and orchestration of local and remote compute systems.
- Collaborate with software and test engineering teams on DevOps tool integration and deployment across custom hardware and quantum workflows.
- Maintain artifact repositories, test-result dashboards, and infrastructure for regression and system-health tracking.
- Establish best practices for access control, system configuration, and laboratory operations.
- Support incident response, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis for CI/CD failures and system anomalies.
- Implement monitoring and alerting by integrating logs and metrics from embedded systems, test benches, and orchestration layers.
- Operate CI/CD pipelines for building, testing, and deploying software and firmware across the quantum control stack.
Requirements
- Practical experience implementing LAN and WAN technologies on switches and routers, including VLAN configuration, DNS, DHCP, and TCP/IP-based services.
- Practical Linux administration with Ubuntu, Debian, or Red Hat and Windows administration, including network operations, application installation, and debugging.
- Proficiency in Python, Bash, or Go, with familiarity with Docker, Git, and Kubernetes.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI or Jenkins and infrastructure-as-code platforms such as Ansible or Terraform.
- Familiarity with observability and logging tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, and the ELK stack.
- Hands-on experience with rack-mount servers.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5–8 years of experience in Network SQA, systems engineering, SRE, or infrastructure engineering roles.
- Preferred experience includes hybrid systems involving embedded devices, custom hardware, or real-time control systems.
- Preferred experience includes secure software deployment, product life cycles, HIL pipelines, distributed lab/test automation, scientific computing, HPC, or quantum software stacks.
