Base Salary
$134k - $215k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and operate robust Kubernetes platforms and tools that enable engineering teams to provision and operate services securely and consistently.
- Apply site reliability and cloud-native best practices to improve platform reliability, operability, scalability, and cost efficiency.
- Write performant, maintainable, clear, and concise code and debug distributed cloud-native systems.
- Scope, plan, and manage technical work to meet deadlines.
- Influence and educate engineers on improved architectural patterns.
- Create documentation that enables engineer self-service.
- Design tooling that simplifies operational management of SaaS and PaaS systems.
Requirements
- 5+ years of applicable experience in platform engineering and container orchestration.
- United States citizenship and the ability to obtain CJIS clearance for full United States production access.
- Experience building platforms on AWS or Azure, preferably both.
- Production-scale experience building, operating, and innovating Kubernetes clustering solutions such as AKS or EKS.
- Experience with programming languages such as Python, Go, C#, or Java.
- Experience managing highly revenue-, security-, health-, or life-safety-critical infrastructure and systems.
- Experience using CI/CD platforms to automate infrastructure provisioning, builds, tests, and releases.
- Experience using observability tools, including APM, logging, and metrics, to debug issues.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or Pulumi.
- Empathy for the needs of software engineers.
