Base Salary
$134k - $215k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and operate scalable Kubernetes platforms and tools for rapid, secure, and consistent service management.
- Develop maintainable code and debug cloud-native distributed systems.
- Improve platform reliability, operability, cost efficiency, and developer experience.
- Use technical project management skills to scope, plan, and deliver work.
- Create documentation and self-service tooling for engineering teams.
- Influence and educate engineers on improved architectural and reliability patterns.
Requirements
- 5+ years of applicable platform engineering and container orchestration experience.
- United States citizenship and ability to obtain CJIS clearance for full U.S. production access.
- Experience building platforms on AWS or Azure, preferably both.
- Production-scale experience building, operating, and managing Kubernetes clusters such as AKS or EKS.
- Programming experience with languages such as Python, Go, C#, and Java.
- Experience operating infrastructure and systems that are revenue-, security-, or health- and life-safety-critical.
- Experience with platforms for automating infrastructure provisioning, builds, tests, and releases.
- Experience with APM, logging, and metrics for observability and debugging.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or Pulumi.
- Experience designing tooling for operational management of SaaS/PaaS systems.
- Empathy for the needs of software engineers.
