Base Salary
$102k - $214k/yr
Responsibilities
- Provision, maintain, troubleshoot, and scale production services across global data centers and AWS.
- Participate in 24x7 production operations, deployment, maintenance, performance tuning, and security activities.
- Investigate complex infrastructure problems involving networking, hardware, software, scaling, and performance.
- Implement monitoring, alerting, capacity planning, and production reporting.
- Contribute to the architecture of reliable, scalable, and operable infrastructure.
- Act as a first line of defense for production alerts and incidents and participate in an on-call rotation.
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Operations teams to uphold operational standards and support successful product rollouts.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience troubleshooting and tuning systems, networking, and cloud services.
- Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
- Experience automating management and operational tasks with Node.js, Python, or scripting languages.
- Knowledge of TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, and LDAP.
- Experience managing large distributed computing environments and cloud infrastructure.
- Experience with virtualization technologies including KVM, VMware vSphere, and OpenStack.
- Experience with monitoring and alerting systems, change management, incident management, and colocation data centers.
- Experience with public cloud providers such as Amazon EC2 or Microsoft Azure.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
- US citizenship required.
