Responsibilities
- Ensure the availability, stability, and performance of mission-critical enterprise applications.
- Lead incident response, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and preventative reliability improvements.
- Support application recovery, failover, disaster recovery, business continuity, processing schedules, and service-level commitments.
- Support deployments, releases, vendor upgrades, monitoring, alerting, observability, and operational tooling.
- Drive automation initiatives that improve efficiency, resiliency, and operational risk reduction.
- Partner with development, infrastructure, cloud, database, network, security, product, and operations teams.
- Support audit, risk, compliance, and operational control requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent practical experience.
- 6–8 years of experience supporting enterprise applications in complex production environments.
- Strong understanding of Site Reliability Engineering principles, including reliability, observability, automation, and incident prevention.
- Experience supporting enterprise-scale distributed applications in production and working with cloud technologies and modern infrastructure platforms.
- Understanding of messaging systems, middleware, and integration technologies such as IBM MQ, Kafka, and IIB.
- Exposure to container platforms such as OpenShift, Kubernetes, or Docker.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Preferred experience includes Kafka and event-driven architecture, mainframe technologies including JCL and batch processing, Python or other scripting languages, financial services or securities processing, AI-driven automation, and enterprise integration platforms.
