Base Salary
$181k - $237k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead planning, execution, and release of complex technical projects across multiple teams.
- Mentor and train engineers while setting standards for stable, correct, and maintainable code.
- Own complex technology capabilities and infrastructure projects from technical design through completion.
- Design and build resilient systems that reduce failure domains, outage impact, and maintenance effort.
- Guide development of Service-Level Objectives for responsible systems.
- Drive technical roadmap prioritization and contribute to cross-team and organization-wide initiatives.
- Facilitate cross-team collaboration, identify project risks, and mitigate them to support on-time delivery.
- Comply with applicable laws and regulations and perform other assigned duties.
Requirements
- 6+ years of professional software engineering experience with increasingly impactful accomplishments.
- Experience contributing significantly to cross-pod or cross-company deliverables.
- Experience leading technical contributions and building fault-tolerant, scalable software systems.
- Expertise applying computer science concepts in software engineering work.
- Experience mentoring and training more junior engineers.
- Preferred deep production cloud experience with AWS or GCP at scale.
- Preferred advanced experience with Terraform or similar infrastructure-as-code tools.
- Preferred experience with Kubernetes, ArgoCD, GitHub Actions, Prometheus, Grafana, IAM, VPC peering, and Istio.
- Preferred background in Site Reliability Engineering, including SLOs, error budgets, and incident management.
- Understanding of at least one programming language for developing scripts and software.
- B.S. in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent high-level industry experience.
