Base Salary
$126k - $277k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect and develop scalable, resilient, secure software tools, microservices, APIs, and software subsystems.
- Lead domain analysis, technical architecture, design standards, code reuse, and software lifecycle best practices.
- Deploy and manage Google Kubernetes Engine clusters and Confidential Compute infrastructure using infrastructure-as-code principles.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated software building, testing, and deployment.
- Implement application monitoring, logging, and alerting to maintain system health and performance.
- Collaborate with security teams on patching, vulnerability remediation, and secure coding practices.
- Mentor junior engineers, lead code reviews, and maintain technical documentation.
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship and an active TS/SCI security clearance are required.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience, is required.
- DoD 8570.01-M / DoD 8140 IAT Level II or higher certification is required, such as CompTIA Security+ or CISSP.
- At least 8 years of professional software development experience, including at least 5 years designing and building scalable distributed systems, is required.
- At least 3 years of experience leading project design or technical architecture is required.
- Expertise in scripting and programming languages such as Python, Go, Java, and Bash is required.
- Deep experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and container registries such as Artifact Registry and Harbor is required.
- Hands-on experience with GitLab CI or Jenkins and strong GCP cloud networking and security knowledge are required.
- Google Cloud Professional Cloud Developer and Professional Cloud Architect certifications are required.
- A master's degree or PhD, Google Cloud Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer certification, and experience with Apache Spark or Apache Airflow are preferred.
