Base Salary

$160k - $300k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Influence the technical direction and architecture of infrastructure and platform capabilities supporting Rad AI’s AI products.
  • Architect and evolve cloud infrastructure across Kubernetes, Amazon ECS, AWS Lambda, Amazon EC2, and data stores.
  • Collaborate with platform, product engineering, data, ML, security, and compliance teams to build robust, observable, and compliant systems.
  • Define infrastructure strategy, standards, roadmaps, and work sequencing for the Platform organization.
  • Secure networking, identity, and access patterns across environments.
  • Define SLOs, SLIs, and error budgets and improve reliability and operational excellence.
  • Lead and participate in blameless post-incident reviews and implement systemic improvements.
  • Own observability and monitoring across logging, metrics, and tracing.
  • Mentor engineers, review design documents, guide architecture decisions, and promote reliability, security, and maintainability standards.
  • Ensure infrastructure and operational practices meet HIPAA and other healthcare requirements.
  • Improve developer experience through CI/CD workflows, faster feedback loops, and productivity tooling.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of hands-on infrastructure or platform development experience in modern cloud-native environments, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Deep expertise with AWS and/or GCP, including networking, compute, storage, and managed services.
  • Proficiency in at least one infrastructure programming or scripting language, with Python preferred.
  • Extensive experience building tooling and automation for engineers.
  • Strong Kubernetes, Docker, and container-orchestration experience at scale.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code, with Terraform preferred, Pulumi, or similar tools, plus Git-based workflows.
  • Solid Linux fundamentals and ability to debug at operating-system, networking, and application layers.
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex cross-team initiatives from design through rollout.
  • Preferred qualifications include regulated-environment or healthcare experience, platform or security engineering background, ML or data-platform experience, observability-stack familiarity, internal developer-platform experience, and experience scaling infrastructure at a fast-growing startup.
