Sr. Software Engineer, Developer Platform (Full-Stack)

Responsibilities
- Lead the design and architecture of scalable, performant full-stack solutions.
- Build and maintain frontend and backend systems that improve customer experiences, acquisition funnels, and platform capabilities.
- Provide technical guidance, mentorship, coaching, and constructive feedback to engineers.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, design, medical, marketing, analytics, and other engineering teams.
- Participate in product discovery, user research, feasibility assessment, prototyping, and experimentation.
- Implement logging, monitoring, alerting, and other observability practices.
- Identify performance bottlenecks and improve system reliability, scalability, security, and performance.
- Lead improvements to engineering workflows, processes, tools, and standards.
- Break down complex projects, conduct code reviews, maintain technical documentation, and support knowledge sharing.
- Assist with engineering interviews and onboarding.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a software engineer shipping production code.
- 3+ years of experience designing, developing, and delivering backend distributed systems.
- 3+ years of experience with microservice architectures.
- Strong full-stack proficiency in TypeScript with React or a similar frontend and Node.js or a similar backend.
- Experience building scalable systems used and depended on by other engineering teams.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, prioritization, and cross-team decision-making skills.
- Experience with agile development, CI/CD, and testing practices.
- Preferred: experience with NextJS and NestJS.
- Preferred: experience building developer frameworks or tools, including contributing to a framework itself.
- Preferred: web performance optimization experience.
- Preferred: familiarity with Kubernetes, AWS, and DevOps practices.
