Responsibilities
- Build and extend JD retail services and platforms with high performance, availability, concurrency, security, and scalability.
- Identify and mitigate technical risks through monitoring, maintainability, grey releases, and rollback capabilities.
- Improve operational excellence, technical capabilities, efficiency, and operating costs for business partners.
- Research, adopt, and promote technologies and methodologies while integrating emerging technologies with global system architectures.
- Strengthen software development principles, processes, and planning across multiple teams and business partners.
- Design service development plans and communicate technical vision, software design logic, and technical decisions across domains.
- Support and mentor junior engineers in their technical development and progression.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of hands-on software development experience.
- Proven ability to design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable applications.
- Advanced knowledge of server-side Java or Kotlin and API design using GraphQL or RESTful services.
- Familiarity with microservices, cloud architecture, AWS, CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins, Spinnaker, or GitHub Actions.
- Excellent English communication skills.
- Experience in large-scale ecommerce, supplier and merchant tools, or UK and European business is preferred; Chinese communication skills are a plus.
