
Lead Product Engineer
Cadence Design SystemsResponsibilities
- Perform product engineering for Genus synthesis software to optimize power, performance, and area for digital ASICs.
- Understand internal Genus flows, verify feature correctness, and run experiments to identify optimal solutions.
- Solve physical-aware synthesis problems bridging logic synthesis and place-and-route.
- Support Cadence field engineers and customers and act as an interface between customers and R&D.
- Verify Genus interoperability with other Cadence digital logic software tools.
- Gather future product requirements from internal and external customers and document product requirement specifications.
- Debug complex timing-closure, logical-design, and physical-design problems and provide root-cause analysis and recommendations.
Requirements
- BE, BTech, ME, MS, MTech, or equivalent qualification.
- Experience in EDA and digital implementation, preferably with Cadence synthesis and physical-design tools at advanced process nodes.
- Prior designer, product engineering, or application engineering experience, especially in synthesis.
- Experience with logic design and synthesis, formal verification, low-power design, physical design, and timing closure.
- Essential automation skills using Perl, Tcl, and shell scripting.
- Preferred knowledge of Verilog or SystemVerilog.
- Strong logic-design, timing-closure, analysis, debugging, and customer problem-solving skills.
