Responsibilities
- Collaborate with full-time engineers to build software for Viam’s robotics engineering platform.
- Work across the stack on robotics and cloud-computing problems.
- Join a specific engineering team with an assigned mentor.
- Use production engineering practices and technologies to develop and test software.
- Interact with robotics hardware to test the software being built.
Requirements
- Be pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Robotics, or a related field, with at least one academic term remaining after the internship.
- Be available to work in person at Viam’s New York City office for 10–12 weeks during summer 2027.
- Have a strong foundation in computer science fundamentals, including algorithms, data structures, architecture, and/or robotics.
- Have experience with various programming languages.
