Base Salary
$120k - $261k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead Authorization & Accreditation activities and drive Authority to Operate outcomes for Microsoft cloud platform services.
- Develop and oversee Risk Management Framework documentation and security artifacts, including SSPs, SAPs, SARs, POA&Ms, control implementations, and continuous monitoring evidence.
- Coordinate government compliance assessments, audits, inspections, and penetration testing, including remediation of findings.
- Act as the primary security liaison for government accrediting officials, auditors, customers, and internal stakeholders.
- Resolve complex security, compliance, accreditation, and operational issues with leadership, customers, and external oversight organizations.
- Provide Azure cloud architecture, security controls, networking, identity management, platform operations, monitoring, incident response, vulnerability management, and secure administration expertise.
- Develop security automation and orchestration solutions and support regulated cloud operations.
Requirements
- Doctorate in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field; or a master's degree plus 3+ years of relevant experience; or a bachelor's degree plus 4+ years of relevant experience; or equivalent experience.
- Preferred experience includes 7+ years in a customer-facing technical security role involving high-severity incidents, crisis situations, or complex technical escalations.
- Ability to diagnose complex enterprise security issues across identity, endpoint, network, and cloud architectures using logs and telemetry.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure security solutions including Purview, Defender, Entra, Intune, or Sentinel.
- Experience with regulatory compliance, enterprise risk management, ITSM, ITIL or comparable practices, and major incident, problem, change, and continual improvement management.
- Experience using Microsoft Copilot or other generative AI technologies to improve operational efficiency and customer outcomes.
- Relevant security, cloud, AI, or service management certifications are preferred, including Microsoft security certifications, CISSP, CCSP, CISM, GIAC certifications, or ITIL credentials.
- Ability to communicate complex technical issues clearly to customers, engineers, product teams, and executive stakeholders.
- Active U.S. Government Top Secret clearance with SCI access based on an SSBI with polygraph is required, along with required Microsoft, customer, and government security screenings.
- U.S. citizenship verification and successful Microsoft Cloud background checks are required.
Benefits
- The typical U.S. base pay range is USD $119,800-$234,700 per year; a separate San Francisco Bay Area and New York City metropolitan area range is USD $160,200-$261,000 per year.
- Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
- The position is open for at least five days, with applications accepted on an ongoing basis until filled.
