Responsibilities
- Lead the technical aspects of highly complex research and development programs.
- Manage complex project schedules, budgets, priorities, plans, designs, calculations, investigations, and reporting.
- Collaborate with internal engineering support disciplines, external suppliers, customers, and industry organizations.
- Research and propose new technologies for developing new and improved products.
- Create and update engineering methodologies, procedures, and best practices.
- Provide technical direction, counsel, guidance, and mentorship to lower-level and entry-level engineers.
- Prepare and deliver technical proposals and presentations.
Requirements
- Accredited bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
- Eight or more years of related experience.
- Preferred accredited master's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or electrical engineering.
- Familiarity with JavaScript, JSON, Python, SQL databases, and embedded C/C++.
- Ability to make significant decisions, analyze complex factors, and work with limited precedent.
