Base Salary
$142k - $212k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and deploy rule-based and anomaly-based detections-as-code.
- Triage alerts, detect and respond to cyber threats, and lead end-to-end incident response investigations.
- Perform digital forensic investigations, including evidence collection and analysis.
- Automate and codify Detection & Response workflows and build security tooling.
- Improve detection and response pipelines and underlying systems.
- Collaborate with Threat Intelligence to address sophisticated threats and conduct threat hunts.
- Develop AI-first security systems and support security data lake and SIEM data engineering workflows.
- Participate in Detection & Response on-call rotations and mentor security engineers.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on security experience in modern cloud environments.
- Experience triaging and responding to cyber threats, conducting large-scale log analysis, incident response, and/or digital forensics.
- Experience with centralized security data lakes, SIEM solutions, and detections-as-code.
- Solid data querying skills, such as SQL and Splunk.
- Familiarity with large-scale data pipelines and data engineering techniques.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and Go.
- Experience with Git/GitHub and CI/CD automations.
- Familiarity with threat-actor tactics, techniques, and procedures and with Detection & Response or incident response on-call work.
- Engineering-first and AI-first approach, continuous learning, strong communication, and self-managing teamwork skills.
Benefits
- Base salary range of $141,600–$212,400 USD, plus potential bonus, equity, sign-on payments, and health, welfare, and wellbeing benefits.
- Up to 10% travel may be required for onboarding, client or partner work, team meetings, and industry events, coordinated in advance.
