Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Own the target-state architecture, canonical work model, modular platform, and reusable application patterns for a unified client-facing and internal platform.
- Design and implement multi-tenant isolation, authentication, authorization, identity mapping, data protection, and secure application controls.
- Build Azure cloud-native applications and the application/business-logic layer of a data and analytics platform.
- Create resilient API and integration layers for third-party systems using versioned contracts, anti-corruption adapters, event-driven synchronization, idempotent write-back, and graceful degradation.
- Assess and incrementally modernize legacy .NET Framework, WCF, SQL, monolithic, and on-premises applications without disrupting operations.
- Lead application data modeling, migration, data quality, auditability, reconciliation, and safe deployment practices.
- Deliver applications through CI/CD with automated testing, quality gates, security gates, observability, and incident-response practices.
- Set engineering standards and provide hands-on technical leadership through design decisions, code reviews, mentoring, and architecture decision records.
Requirements
- 10+ years building and operating production applications and services, including architecture ownership and cross-functional delivery leadership.
- Experience architecting multi-tenant applications for internal and external users, including customer identity, fine-grained authorization, and row-level security.
- Experience building orchestration or experience layers over third-party systems using API facades, backend-for-frontend patterns, anti-corruption layers, canonical domain models, versioned contracts, and resilient synchronization.
- Deep expertise in at least one modern cloud language, with production fluency in additional languages such as Java, Go, Python, or Node.js/TypeScript.
- Experience modernizing monolithic, on-premises, or legacy applications to cloud-native patterns and consolidating applications into a unified platform.
- Hands-on Azure PaaS application development using services such as App Service, Container Apps, managed identity, Key Vault, and Service Bus or equivalent messaging.
- Full-stack capability with a component-based TypeScript web UI, shared design systems, and plugin or micro-frontend architectures.
- Strong relational data modeling and migration experience with attention to data quality, auditability, and reconciliation.
- Experience with secure application development, authentication, authorization, input validation, encryption, secrets management, OWASP practices, and SOC 2 controls.
- Experience delivering through CI/CD using GitHub Actions, GitHub Enterprise, or equivalent tools, including pull requests, automated testing, and quality and security gates.
- Demonstrated technical leadership without formal authority and comfort serving as the first and lead application engineer across greenfield development and legacy modernization.
- Preferred qualifications include plugin-based platform architecture, fine-grained authorization policy engines, data-dense client interfaces, professional-services or accounting platform integrations, build-versus-buy judgment, incremental modernization patterns, audit-cycle experience, relevant industry experience, and AZ-204, AZ-305, or related certifications.
