Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Lead a portfolio of technology projects and a team of developers building distributed microservices and full-stack systems.
- Develop robust cloud-based solutions in collaboration with digital product managers.
- Use Java, Scala, Python, Go, Node.js, JavaScript, TypeScript, databases, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS services.
- Provide technical leadership across Agile teams and establish standards for design, development, and operational excellence.
- Partner with architects on service boundaries, integration patterns, and reusable frameworks.
- Refactor systems, reduce technical debt, and improve performance.
- Influence long-term technology strategy by evaluating emerging tools and practices in a you-build-it-you-own-it environment.
- Mentor engineers and participate in internal and external technology communities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field.
- At least 4 years of software engineering experience; internship experience does not apply.
- At least 2 years of experience with public cloud platforms, cloud-based productivity tools, or virtualization technologies.
- Preferred: master's degree, 7+ years coding with multiple listed languages, and 3+ years with databases and cloud technologies.
- Preferred: experience with open-source frameworks, front-end JavaScript or TypeScript frameworks, synchronous and asynchronous APIs, infrastructure as code, automated testing, Git-based version control, and cloud troubleshooting.
- Preferred: experience with AI coding tools, interactive AI productivity tooling, observability, mentoring, cross-functional engineering leadership, and enforcing coding standards and design patterns.
