Responsibilities
- Design and operate custom Kubernetes operators and controllers to automate infrastructure.
- Engineer GitOps-driven CI/CD pipelines using ArgoCD and FluxCD.
- Build reliable Infrastructure as Code workflows with Terraform and Helm.
- Implement multi-tenant security, isolation, RBAC, and policy enforcement using OPA/Gatekeeper.
- Deploy observability with Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry.
- Test and adopt new Kubernetes versions and features.
- Collaborate with researchers, engineers, traders, and internal platform users to improve platform capabilities and developer experience.
- Participate in on-call rotations, own incidents, and troubleshoot performance and reliability issues.
- Write and maintain runbooks, postmortems, design documentation, and other technical documentation.
Requirements
- Strong Linux systems engineering background.
- Strong programming ability in Go or Python, ideally including Kubernetes operators or controllers.
- Strong understanding of Kubernetes internals, including CRDs, RBAC, custom controllers, and scheduler extensions.
- Hands-on experience with Helm and GitOps workflows.
- Experience implementing Kubernetes multi-tenant security controls, namespace isolation, network policies, and Open Policy Agent.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex performance and reliability issues across infrastructure and workloads.
- Experience using Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry for cluster monitoring and health observability.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with internal platform users.
- Experience writing and maintaining technical documentation, runbooks, and post-incident reviews.
