Responsibilities
- Analyze, design, implement, test, debug, and support innovative software solutions across multiple platforms.
- Guide engineers in software development, issue resolution, emerging technology adoption, and solution implementation.
- Drive adoption of development standards, automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines across platforms.
- Perform root-cause analysis, define problems, recommend solutions, verify implementations, and optimize outcomes.
- Mentor and coach engineers and collaborate with diverse global, onshore, offshore, and crowdsourced development teams.
- Use data and cost measures, including AWS, infrastructure, and labor costs, to influence decisions and support project or production objectives.
- Consult with Wellmark leaders on business status, process improvements, technology enhancements, and capabilities.
- Participate in project proposals, estimates, proof-of-concept activities, and industry knowledge groups.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or a related field plus at least two years of software development experience, or six years of related and applicable experience.
- Experience with software development technologies such as Angular, NodeJS, TypeScript, C++, .NET, Java, or SQL.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, troubleshooting, research, root-cause analysis, and technical solution development abilities.
- Experience with software development lifecycle methodologies and the ability to support complex solution implementation and optimization.
- Ability to lead, mentor, coach, and collaborate within diverse development teams and build relationships with stakeholders.
- Ability to communicate effectively with varied audiences, manage priorities and deadlines, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Preferred: experience in an Agile team environment, interest or ability to mentor and coach others, and experience partnering with global staffing vendors.
- Preferred: bachelor’s degree.
