Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and improve scalable software products for payment services, transaction platforms, real-time payments, and Buy Now Pay Later systems.
- Build Java-based distributed systems using concurrency, multithreading, performance optimization, microservices, event-driven architectures, and fault-tolerant design.
- Develop and integrate SOAP, REST, GraphQL, gRPC, and reactive APIs with appropriate authentication, versioning, rate limiting, and gateway patterns.
- Work with SQL databases, distributed data management, caching systems, message queues, and streaming platforms for real-time transaction processing.
- Integrate AI/ML models and LLM services into production systems and use AI-assisted development tools.
- Apply monitoring, observability, container orchestration, service discovery, load balancing, and disaster recovery practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create design artifacts, pilot new technologies, debug issues, and improve product quality.
Requirements
- 7.5+ years of relevant software engineering experience.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Distributed Systems, or a related field.
- Extensive Java experience with Spring, Hibernate, concurrency, multithreading, and performance optimization.
- Strong knowledge of distributed systems, distributed consensus, data consistency, caching, messaging, streaming, and highly available architectures.
- Experience with API development using SOAP, REST, JSON, XML, OAuth, SAML, GraphQL, gRPC, and API gateway patterns.
- Experience with PostgreSQL or MySQL and Unix/Linux platforms, including sharding, replication, and distributed database systems.
- Experience integrating AI/ML models using TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn and integrating or serving LLMs through OpenAI API, Azure OpenAI, Claude, or Llama.
- Experience with code development tools, Git/Stash, Maven, Jenkins, and major Java IDEs such as Eclipse, MyEclipse, or JetBrains IntelliJ.
- Knowledge of distributed monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and the ELK stack.
- Experience with modern services and web applications, plus familiarity with Angular, React, Kubernetes, and Docker.
- Strong written and verbal communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and continuous-learning capabilities.
