Responsibilities
- Lead or drive migration of legacy SAS data-preparation jobs to Python-based data engineering frameworks.
- Analyze SAS scripts, data feeds, workflows, logic, and dependencies.
- Translate and re-engineer SAS jobs into scalable Python data pipelines.
- Integrate pipelines with Google Cloud Platform as required.
- Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and engineers to validate and test converted workflows.
- Optimize workflow performance and ensure data quality and consistency.
- Document migration processes, coding standards, and pipeline configurations.
- Provide guidance and support for testing, validation, and production deployment.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in Python programming.
- Strong proficiency in Python and deep experience with data transformation workflows.
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform, Pandas, data frames, and SQL on GCP.
- Solid understanding of database systems and ETL best practices.
- Experience with modern Python frameworks and libraries.
- Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git.
- 15 years of full-time education.
