Responsibilities
- Design and build AI-ready data platform capabilities for self-service data discovery and usage.
- Develop AI agents and Model Context Protocol integrations that enable natural-language interaction with data products.
- Build APIs, backend services, automation frameworks, and cloud-native data services.
- Contribute to Retrieval-Augmented Generation solutions using enterprise data sources.
- Assist with scalable data pipelines, data-product tooling, lineage and ownership discovery, and semantic search experiences.
- Create proof-of-concepts involving AI, data engineering, and developer productivity technologies.
- Support governance, security, access controls, monitoring, troubleshooting, testing, documentation, and architecture reviews.
- Research emerging AI and data technologies and evaluate their relevance to the platform.
Requirements
- Recent 2026 graduate or upcoming 2027 graduate with a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
- Programming experience in one or more of Java, Python, JavaScript, or C#.
- Understanding of APIs and modern software development principles, with basic SQL and data modeling knowledge.
- Familiarity with Git and collaborative software development practices.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, debugging, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Interest in AI, machine learning, large language models, intelligent systems, data platforms, and business domains.
- Generative AI, LLM, RAG, AI agent, or MCP experience is considered an asset.
- Knowledge of data engineering, distributed data processing, cloud platforms, Databricks, Spark, Dremio, vector databases, semantic search, Spring Boot, FastAPI, Docker, or Kubernetes is considered an asset.
- Candidates must have an unrestricted right to work in Ireland for the full duration of the internship.
