Responsibilities
- Design and optimize large language model and neural network architectures for natural language processing applications.
- Develop, train, customize, evaluate, and deploy machine learning, deep learning, generative AI, and LLM solutions.
- Build scalable data pipelines and MLOps/LLMOps systems for model training, monitoring, alerting, auditing, and production operations.
- Work with large-scale datasets and implement data preprocessing, storage, retrieval, and distributed computing solutions.
- Research and develop AI, machine learning, high-performance computing, and simulation algorithms for enterprise client problems.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, engineers, architects, designers, users, and client teams to align model solutions with business objectives.
- Serve as a subject-matter expert, contribute to team decisions, mentor colleagues, and provide solutions across multiple teams.
Requirements
- Minimum 7.5 years of experience with Databricks Unified Data Analytics Platform.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent; 15 years of full-time education is required.
- At least 5 years of experience as a machine learning engineer or scientist deploying models in production at scale.
- At least 5 years of experience applying computer science foundations, computer system architecture, systems engineering, and programming.
- At least 3 years of experience with distributed computing systems and architectures, including big data, high-performance computing, scientific computing, grid or cloud computing, or distributed networks.
- At least 2 years of experience building and deploying AI/ML software in a cloud environment.
- Proficiency in Python and Python-based AI/ML frameworks, with experience using technologies such as TensorFlow and PyTorch.
- Experience with language model APIs and optimizing their use for specific applications.
- Experience with Python, C++, Java, R, and SQL.
- Strong neural network architecture, large-scale data processing, model training, and deployment skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication, client-facing consulting, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Preferred: machine learning and data science experience, and an MS or PhD in a related field.
