Responsibilities
- Own SAP MM Direct Procurement module design, configuration approach, estimates, sequencing, quality gates, and deliverables.
- Configure MRP-driven requisitioning, purchase orders, scheduling agreements, delivery schedules, release documentation, subcontracting, consignment, pipeline, and stock transfer processes.
- Set up supplier confirmations, inbound deliveries, ASN handling, and supply-reliability monitoring for production planning.
- Coordinate integrations and dependencies with Production Planning, Inventory Management, EWM, and Finance.
- Lead workstream milestones, testing, defect containment, issue diagnosis, corrective action, and cutover activities.
- Build reusable AI prompts and accelerators for schedule adherence analysis, subcontracting reconciliation, and scenario test generation.
- Use SAP Joule for Consultants, specify Joule agent use cases, curate grounding content, and validate AI outputs against business outcomes.
- Lead and mentor a small delivery team and manage workshops and scope discussions with business process owners.
Requirements
- Minimum 12 years of experience on the primary skill is required.
- 15 years of full-time education is required.
- Deep SAP MM Direct Procurement configuration experience with scheduling agreements, delivery schedules, release creation, and MRP-driven purchasing in S/4HANA or ECC.
- Expertise in subcontracting, consignment, pipeline, special stock, movement types, and valuation behavior.
- Experience with supplier confirmations, inbound deliveries, ASN processing, MRP outputs, and procurement proposal conversion.
- Current hands-on configuration experience with no sustained break from build activity in the last 18 months.
- End-to-end ownership of an SAP module workstream across at least two full lifecycle implementations or large rollouts.
- Experience leading a small delivery team and owning business stakeholder relationships, including contested scope discussions.
- Demonstrated adoption of AI-assisted delivery methods, reusable accelerators, or codified playbooks with validation of generated output.
- Working use of SAP Joule for Consultants, or the ability to achieve working proficiency within 90 days of joining.
- Preferred experience with SAP Ariba Supply Chain Collaboration, EWM inbound integration, SAP IBP for supply and response, supplier-managed inventory, and consignment settlement.
