Responsibilities
- Conduct security research and develop tooling to detect and classify vulnerabilities.
- Review product architectures, designs, applications, firmware, and hardware from a security perspective.
- Assist with vulnerability testing and penetration testing of medical-device products.
- Evaluate security tools and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines, including creating adoption guides.
- Build custom internal security tools using Python as needed.
- Collaborate with R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, Regulatory, and product development teams on security risk reduction.
- Contribute to security training, documentation, and product security deliverables.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Security, Electrical Engineering, Computer Systems Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Development experience with one or more languages such as C, C#, C++, or Python.
- Familiarity with .NET, ASP.NET, or other application frameworks.
- Preferred: pursuing Information Security, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related degree with graduation by the end of 2025.
- Preferred: experience with Hack The Box or a similar environment for penetration and vulnerability analysis.
- Preferred: basic knowledge of IoT, hardware, and web applications.
- Preferred: two years of systems security administration control, software engineering, or related experience.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, technical writing, and presentation skills.
