Responsibilities
- Define and drive DevOps, Platform Engineering, cloud modernization, and AI-enablement architecture strategies across Operations.
- Architect self-service engineering platforms, environment management, deployment orchestration, parameter management, developer experience platforms, and automation frameworks.
- Shape and execute the Operations AI roadmap, including evaluation and scaling of AI-powered engineering and operational solutions.
- Establish reusable platform patterns, governance models, engineering standards, security and compliance practices, and automation capabilities.
- Partner with engineering, product, operations, business, quality, regulatory, marketing, and manufacturing teams to align technical investments and product designs.
- Provide architectural leadership across multiple teams and guide enterprise modernization and platform-transformation initiatives.
- Design, develop, test, document, integrate, debug, and maintain embedded system software for new and existing medical products.
- Write design documentation and testing requirements, participate in product design reviews, and ensure software activities meet applicable company and product requirements.
- Mentor junior engineers as requested and perform other duties as required.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, Cloud Engineering, Software Engineering, Architecture, or relevant embedded-software work.
- Bachelor's degree in software engineering or equivalent.
- Strong programming skills in C and/or C++, including object-oriented programming concepts.
- Hands-on experience with embedded systems, embedded microcontrollers, and processors such as ARM, TI, and MSP or similar platforms.
- Good understanding of RTOS and real-time systems, including operating-system concepts such as deadlocks, threading, mutual exclusion, and interrupt services.
- Experience designing large-scale cloud-native platforms, enterprise engineering solutions, architecture standards, technical roadmaps, and modernization strategies.
- Deep expertise in DevOps, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, cloud architecture, automation, software delivery, and platform engineering.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, Terraform, GitHub, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Artifactory, and modern engineering toolchains.
- Understanding of self-service platforms, Internal Developer Platforms, golden paths, developer experience frameworks, engineering metrics, and platform adoption.
- Familiarity with communication systems, wireless protocols, software design, I2C, SPI, Flash, EEPROM, USB, and reading electrical schematics.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with AI-enabled engineering, AI-assisted software development, DevSecOps, SRE, observability, cloud-native architecture, engineering productivity platforms, medical devices, and enterprise modernization.
- Strong communication, collaboration, stakeholder-management, prioritization, independent-working, and mentoring abilities.
