Responsibilities

Lead planning, execution, and release of complex technical projects across multiple teams.
Own medium to large infrastructure and technology projects from technical design through completion.
Design and build resilient systems, reduce failure domains, and minimize the impact of outages and maintenance.
Develop automation and software that improves operational efficiency and system stability.
Guide the development of Service-Level Objectives for owned systems.
Drive technical roadmap prioritization and influence product roadmap and process improvements.
Lead and mentor engineers while establishing standards for stable, correct, and maintainable code.
Facilitate cross-team execution, identify project risks, and actively mitigate them.

6+ years of professional software engineering experience with increasingly impactful accomplishments.
Experience contributing substantially to cross-pod or cross-company deliverables.
Experience leading technical contributions and building fault-tolerant, scalable software systems.
Demonstrated practical application of computer science concepts.
Experience mentoring and training more junior engineers.
Deep production cloud experience with AWS or GCP at scale is preferred.
Advanced experience with Terraform or similar infrastructure-as-code tools is preferred.
Experience with Kubernetes, ArgoCD, GitHub Actions, monitoring tools, cloud-native security, networking, and service mesh technologies is preferred.
Understanding of at least one programming language used to develop scripts and software.
Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent high-level industry experience.

Base pay is $180,504–$236,911 per year, with eligibility for employee benefits, unlimited vacation, equity grants, and annual performance bonuses.

Hybrid work schedule in the Tempe office with three days of in-office work per week; Thursdays are required and the other two office days are flexible.
