Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable backend services, platform components, middleware systems, APIs, distributed services, and cloud-native applications.
- Build reusable frameworks, libraries, tools, and developer utilities to improve engineering productivity.
- Participate in architecture discussions, design reviews, performance optimization, scalability improvements, reliability initiatives, and code reviews.
- Support CI/CD, observability, monitoring, operational visibility, production support, debugging, and root cause analysis.
- Troubleshoot issues across distributed services, databases, messaging systems, and cloud infrastructure.
- Contribute to system reliability, resiliency, and continuous engineering improvement.
Requirements
- 1–5 years of hands-on experience in backend software development for SaaS products or distributed systems.
- Strong Java programming skills with knowledge of object-oriented design, data structures, concurrency, and system design fundamentals.
- Experience building RESTful APIs, microservices, and distributed applications.
- Experience or familiarity with messaging technologies such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or JMS.
- Exposure to CI/CD and DevOps tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, Docker, Kubernetes, or Helm.
- Strong understanding of databases, SQL optimization, data modeling, and NoSQL technologies such as Cassandra, MongoDB, or Redis.
- Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or private cloud environments.
- Understanding of scalability, resiliency, observability, production-grade system design, and SRE concepts.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with cloud security, cybersecurity, enterprise SaaS, performance engineering, observability tools, large-scale distributed systems, AI-assisted development tools, MCP integrations, agentic workflows, RAG pipelines, AI-powered developer tooling, or LLM-based automation.
