Base Salary
$182k - $242k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and own scalable logging, metrics, and tracing infrastructure.
- Develop and operate high-throughput telemetry pipelines that ingest, transform, and expose observability data.
- Support observability workloads across clusters with thousands of GPUs, petabyte-scale telemetry, and high-cardinality data.
- Improve the performance, security, reliability, and scalability of observability services through software, automation, and feature development.
- Participate in an on-call rotation, conduct root cause analysis, and build durable solutions for critical production systems.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to embed observability best practices and custom platform tooling.
- Contribute to the overall observability strategy and platform direction.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in software or infrastructure engineering.
- Proficiency in Go or Python and the ability to write clean, resilient, testable production code.
- Production experience with Kubernetes, containerization, and microservices architectures.
- Experience designing, building, and operating large-scale distributed systems in production.
- Experience with Helm and YAML-based configuration, including templating, automation, and infrastructure-as-code practices.
- Experience participating in an on-call rotation for critical production systems.
- Preferred: hands-on experience with logging, tracing, or metrics platforms such as Loki, ClickHouse, Elasticsearch, Prometheus, VictoriaMetrics, Grafana, or Thanos.
- Preferred: familiarity with Kafka and Kafka Connect for data streaming and observability pipelines.
- Preferred: experience provisioning infrastructure with Terraform.
- Preferred: experience with OpenTelemetry for telemetry collection and instrumentation.
- Preferred: experience with AI platforms and workloads, including large-scale training, inference, GPU infrastructure, or MLOps tooling.
