Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end features across React/Next.js frontend applications and Java Spring Boot backend services.
- Build secure, scalable REST APIs using OpenAPI-first design and implement authentication and authorization with Okta OIDC, OAuth2, and JWT.
- Develop accessible, localized dashboards, analytics interfaces, data tables, and visualizations compliant with WCAG.
- Collaborate with data engineers, product managers, UX designers, and other stakeholders on product and platform enhancements.
- Integrate with Databricks and other data platforms while optimizing API performance, database connectivity, and concurrent processing.
- Implement unit, integration, API, and component testing across the technology stack.
- Support cloud-native deployments with Kubernetes, Docker, GitHub Actions, and GitOps practices.
- Maintain observability through Datadog and production monitoring tools, and contribute to code reviews, architecture, performance optimization, and automation.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience building and delivering modern full-stack applications with Java and React-based technologies.
- Strong expertise in Java 21, Spring Boot, REST API design, OAuth2, OIDC, JWT authentication, and secure application development.
- Hands-on experience with React, Next.js, TypeScript, frontend state management, API integration, and component-driven development.
- Experience with SQL-based data platforms, API-driven integrations, application performance, and scalability.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms such as GCP and/or AWS.
- Ability to write high-quality maintainable code supported by automated testing frameworks and engineering best practices.
- Strong collaboration, communication, problem-solving, and independent execution skills.
- Experience with Databricks, GitOps/Flux CD, Datadog, internationalization, or analytics applications is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
