Base Salary
$135k - $160k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and operate scalable applications, APIs, microservices, streaming pipelines, and batch-processing solutions.
- Build reliable data movement, ingestion, integration, and event-driven solutions for enterprise operational data.
- Improve system throughput, latency, scalability, resiliency, and reliability through sound technical decisions.
- Define data and integration patterns, troubleshoot complex application and infrastructure issues, and support production readiness.
- Collaborate with engineering, platform, quality assurance, production support, and business teams.
- Review designs and code, share knowledge, mentor engineers, and provide technical leadership while remaining hands-on.
Requirements
- 7+ years of hands-on software engineering experience with strong Java and Spring or Spring Boot development skills.
- Experience developing user-interface components with Angular; React experience is also considered.
- 3+ years of public-cloud engineering experience building and deploying production applications and services.
- Experience designing REST APIs, microservices, distributed applications, batch-processing or data-ingestion solutions, and event-driven or streaming systems.
- Experience with cloud compute, storage, and network services; strong SQL and relational database skills, including query and workload performance tuning.
- Experience with automated testing, observability, resiliency, code quality, production readiness, Linux, shell scripting, source control, and CI/CD tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or related practical experience.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with high-volume operational data stores, enterprise data exchanges, data platforms, data modeling, schema design, data contracts, data warehousing, enterprise data architecture, Informatica, monitoring, logging, alerting, distributed tracing, capacity planning, performance analysis, technical leadership, design and code reviews, knowledge sharing, or mentoring.
