Base Salary

$99k - $225k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, optimize, and deploy AI/ML models including NLP, LLM, generative AI, computer vision, deep learning, and reinforcement learning systems.
  • Build scalable data pipelines for model training, evaluation, and continuous improvement.
  • Develop production-grade APIs, microservices, automation frameworks, distributed systems, and cloud-native or edge-deployed AI services.
  • Integrate AI/ML capabilities into operational environments with attention to security, reliability, observability, and performance.
  • Perform model tuning, versioning, A/B testing, and evaluation to improve mission impact.
  • Collaborate with engineering, mission subject-matter experts, and product teams to gather requirements and define technical approaches.
  • Prepare technical documentation, contribute to design reviews, and support customer-driven requirements.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience developing ML models such as NLP, LLM, computer vision, deep learning, generative AI, or reinforcement learning models.
  • Experience developing AI/ML capabilities in a microservice stack and maintaining production-grade APIs, microservices, or distributed systems.
  • Experience with data processing frameworks and scientific computing libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, PyTorch, TensorFlow, or scikit-learn.
  • Experience designing, configuring, or deploying software systems in operational environments.
  • Experience with CI/CD tooling, GitLab or similar source control, and containerization technologies such as Docker, Podman, or Kubernetes.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance and willingness to take a polygraph exam.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Preferred experience includes GPU programming with CUDA or RAPIDS, AWS, classified-environment model containerization, LLM orchestration, RAG, grounding, hallucination mitigation, MLOps, distributed training, hybrid cloud, automated testing, and model evaluation frameworks.
  • A master’s degree in computer science, AI engineering, ML engineering, data science, or a STEM field and AI/ML, cloud, or solution architecture certifications are preferred.
