Base Salary

$87k - $157k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Develop and integrate system models for satellites, radars, aircraft, missiles, and command-and-control systems into a large-scale AFSIM simulation environment.
  • Create AFSIM representations of space and ground systems for Air Force and Department of Defense use.
  • Apply engineering judgment to address intelligence gaps and accurately model real-world systems.
  • Collaborate with government personnel, contractors, engineers, and scientists in a cross-functional team.
  • Use CI/CD tools to test and evaluate AFSIM models before delivery.
  • Prepare documentation, analytical reports, and multimedia products.

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field with 8+ years of experience, or a master’s degree with 6+ years of experience.
  • Equivalent experience, training, or certifications may be accepted in place of a degree.
  • Proficiency in C++ and modeling and simulation techniques.
  • Experience with AFSIM, including extensions and plug-ins.
  • Experience with CMake and Visual Studio for building and compiling AFSIM extensions and plug-ins.
  • Strong English-language writing and briefing skills.
  • Ability to work independently under tight deadlines in a mixed government-contractor environment.
  • Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree, prior WPAFB experience, familiarity with Intelligence Community models and all-source analysis, and familiarity with radars, aircraft, missiles, space vehicles, MATLAB, Simulink, and Simulink Coder.
