Base Salary
$110k - $160k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop software from defined software-level requirements through design and implementation.
- Participate throughout the software development lifecycle, including design, implementation, integration, troubleshooting, and verification.
- Design, develop, debug, and maintain software within complex aerospace systems.
- Collaborate with systems engineering and test teams on software development, integration, and verification.
- Support software development and documentation processes driven by RTCA DO-178C.
- Work independently while contributing to cross-functional engineering teams and responding to changing technical and program priorities.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional software development experience, with approximately 5–10 years preferred.
- Strong software development experience using Java and/or Python.
- Experience developing software from defined software-level requirements through design and implementation.
- Experience designing, developing, debugging, and maintaining software within complex systems.
- Familiarity with RTCA DO-178C software certification and its development processes and documentation.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Preferred experience includes aerospace, avionics, aircraft, airplane software, safety-critical systems, requirements traceability, structured software development lifecycles, system or lab integration, airplane networks, communication systems, networked embedded systems, and cross-functional engineering teams.
- Familiarity with development and issue-tracking tools such as Git and Jira.
