Responsibilities
- Design, operate, and optimize large-scale distributed systems supporting GenAI, ML, inference, and big data workloads.
- Build resilient infrastructure for data processing and machine learning in hybrid cloud environments.
- Own mission-critical platform components and improve their reliability, scalability, performance, and uptime.
- Diagnose and resolve complex production incidents and performance bottlenecks.
- Collaborate across engineering teams and communicate technical architectures and strategies to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
- Proficiency in at least one systems programming language such as Python, Go, or Java.
- Strong expertise in distributed-systems architecture, reliability, scalability, and containerization.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms and data-processing infrastructure such as Kubernetes, Spark, Flink, Ray, or Trino.
- At least 7 years of experience in SRE, DevOps, or infrastructure engineering managing distributed systems at scale.
- Familiarity with open-source codebases and the ability to understand and explain complex system implementations.
- Experience with big-data technologies such as Spark, Flink, or Iceberg and/or ML/AI platforms such as Ray, MLflow, or model-serving infrastructure.
- Strong foundational knowledge of Linux, databases, and security principles.
- Demonstrated experience designing and operating systems at scale, resolving production incidents, and optimizing reliability and uptime.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
