Base Salary
$138k - $185k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, troubleshoot, and review secure, high-quality production software.
- Build scalable Java and Python microservices and full-stack applications using modern architectural patterns.
- Apply domain modeling, resilient architecture, and zero-downtime release practices to improve system scalability and reliability.
- Lead adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted coding, code review, testing, troubleshooting, and remediation practices with appropriate validation standards.
- Investigate and resolve recurring application issues and improve operational stability.
- Lead evaluations of external vendors, startups, and internal architectural solutions.
- Mentor engineers and promote reusable engineering patterns, secure coding, peer review, and automated testing.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
- Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Proficiency with Java and Python backend development and microservices-based applications.
- Experience with frontend technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, or Angular.
- Experience designing and building scalable applications with SQL or NoSQL databases.
- Experience leading responsible adoption and validation of AI-assisted software development tools.
- Understanding of secure handling of AI inputs and outputs, data sensitivity, resiliency, and security expectations.
- Experience with agentic AI protocols such as MCP and AG-UI and frameworks such as LangChain and LangGraph.
- Practical cloud-native experience and proficiency across the software development life cycle.
- Preferred qualifications include financial services industry knowledge, presentation and mentoring skills, stakeholder management, and AWS certification.
