Base Salary
$115k - $225k/yr
Responsibilities
- Serve as a subject matter expert and technical lead for reliable, performant, robust, and secure application platforms.
- Design, document, create, and maintain highly available systems with application development teams.
- Build processes, automation, tooling, reusable components, and workflows that improve developer enablement and delivery velocity.
- Design, operate, and manage development toolchains, CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes container orchestration, and observability capabilities.
- Provide tier 2 and 3 escalation support for platform-related issues and questions.
- Contribute to cloud-focused architecture evolution, technology strategy, engineering standards, and best practices.
- Mentor and develop team members through coaching, knowledge sharing, and technical guidance.
- Partner with business and technology stakeholders to translate strategic objectives into scalable technical solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required.
- 8+ years of hands-on Platform Engineering experience, including DevOps, SysOps, or SRE, with demonstrated people and thought leadership.
- 8+ years of hands-on experience with cloud-native solution architectures and platform support, including cybersecurity, infrastructure as code, and observability.
- Proven experience with AWS and/or Azure cloud platforms.
- Experience implementing infrastructure as code, with Terraform preferred.
- Experience using GitHub and engineering YAML-based CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience implementing and operating container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes.
- Experience integrating vulnerability-management tooling, including SAST and SCA scanning, with the SDLC toolchain.
- Experience using Gen AI tooling to improve software development and testing productivity.
- Expertise scripting with Python, Bash, and PowerShell.
- Ability to provide architectural guidance, make technical decisions, collaborate across teams, and contribute hands-on to platform solutions.
