Base Salary
$113k - $238k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead the Mission Intelligence team and support execution of data engineering, analytics, automation, systems engineering, and software engineering initiatives.
- Ensure the reliability, availability, and quality of an enterprise-scale business intelligence platform.
- Develop analytics that combine, normalize, and enrich large datasets.
- Design and implement ETL workflows for data conversion and normalization.
- Gather stakeholder requirements, assess available data, and develop solutions for delivering key metrics.
- Augment the platform with new tools and technologies.
- Remove technical obstacles, manage expectations, define task scope, and track progress.
- Enable adoption of site reliability engineering practices within the operational platform.
- Mentor and guide junior software engineers and data scientists.
- Create project management materials, documentation, meeting notes, and design decision records.
Requirements
- Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related discipline from an accredited institution is required.
- At least 12 years of experience as a Lead Systems Engineer on programs of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
- Proven experience planning and leading systems engineering efforts is required.
- Strong Java development skills and experience supporting enterprise-scale platforms are required.
- Experience with customer authentication and authorization platforms, Docker, Kubernetes, Git, Jira, and Confluence is required or expected.
- Experience leading technical teams and applying or understanding site reliability engineering principles is required.
- Desired qualifications include Apache NiFi, automated test-case development, systems requirements definition, engineering management plans, monitoring deployed systems and dataflows, production transitions, and mission-focused customer collaboration.
- Strong written and verbal communication, analytical, interpersonal, documentation, and customer-service skills are desired.
