Responsibilities
- Own and evolve the CMS and web platform powering OpenTable’s B2B and B2C blogs.
- Build reusable frontend components, CMS integrations, APIs, and landing-page capabilities.
- Improve platform performance, reliability, maintainability, caching, CDN delivery, and content-authoring workflows.
- Evaluate CMS platforms, headless or hybrid approaches, no-code solutions, and platform-modernization initiatives.
- Collaborate with design, product, content, marketing, and B2B partners to translate requirements and brand guidelines into scalable solutions.
- Operate reliable production systems and make pragmatic technical trade-offs from discovery through delivery.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience or equivalent relevant experience.
- Strong full-stack engineering experience building and operating production web platforms.
- Strong experience with modern frontend technologies such as React, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
- Experience working across frontend and backend systems, APIs, and integrations.
- Understanding of DNS, HTTP, caching, CDN behavior, performance, and reliability.
- Experience designing reusable components and maintainable systems for content-rich digital experiences.
- Experience with modern CI/CD practices and reliable production systems.
- Experience collaborating with design, product, content, or marketing partners.
- Ability to evaluate technical trade-offs, improve existing systems, and take ownership through delivery.
- Proficiency in English and strong communication skills.
- Preferred experience includes WordPress, PHP, Apache, Akamai or another enterprise CDN, multiple CMS platforms, CMS migrations, no-code or low-code enterprise solutions, AI-assisted content workflows, B2B marketing sites, SEO, generative engine optimization, accessibility, and web performance.
