Base Salary
$220k - $280k/yr
Responsibilities
- Ship code daily, with hands-on development comprising the strong majority of the role
- Own the architecture and technical roadmap for a core domain and solve its hardest technical problems
- Mentor senior and staff engineers and serve as the technical escalation point for challenging issues
- Provide thought leadership in enterprise AI and push the frontier of what is possible
- Represent the company through talks, blog posts, or open-source contributions
- Guide early technical architecture decisions
- Establish the engineering culture and set a high standard
- Help the product team define its vision, strategy, and roadmap while proposing innovative solutions and explaining technical limitations
- Drive cross-organizational technical initiatives with measurable business impact
- Lead incident response and post-mortems for company-critical issues
- Hire and interview senior-plus candidates and raise the engineering talent bar
Requirements
- Bachelor's and/or master's degree, preferably in Computer Science
- 10+ years of professional development experience
- Experience owning new products from zero to one, including system design, implementation, and deployment
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Experience using AI to improve development velocity
- Primary technologies include Go, TypeScript, and Python
- Deep expertise in at least two of distributed systems, data pipelines, AI/ML infrastructure, security, or frontend architecture at scale
- Ability to lead without direct authority and influence technical direction across team boundaries
- Experience defining SLAs and SLOs and running production systems at scale with strong operational discipline
