Responsibilities
- Lead development of embedded software for sensor, communication, and cyber systems.
- Provide technical leadership for small teams of three or more engineers.
- Perform full-lifecycle engineering from requirements through design, implementation, integration, testing, and product release.
- Conduct embedded systems debugging, system analysis, waveform development, and development for low-SWaP processing systems.
- Participate in requirements generation, hardware selection, software development, and system integration and test.
- Work onsite in Cincinnati, Ohio, with approximately 10% travel.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in science, engineering, or a related field with 12 years of experience, or a master's degree with 10 years, or a PhD with 7 years.
- Technical leadership experience with small teams of three or more engineers.
- Experience with C, C++, embedded assembly languages, Xilinx SDK, TI Code Composer Studio, IAR Embedded Workbench, GCC, JTAG emulators, remote GDB servers, USB or benchtop logic analyzers, Python, Bash, and Batch.
- Experience across the full software development lifecycle and familiarity with Git, GitLab, GitHub, Bitbucket, Jira, and Rally.
- US citizenship and the ability to obtain a DoD Top Secret security clearance before starting employment.
- Preferred qualifications include an active Top Secret clearance; SPI, I2C, RS-232, CAN, SpaceWire, and MIL-STD-1553B; GNU Radio or other SDR platforms; MATLAB/Octave; and FreeRTOS, Zephyr, VxWorks, or Linux with PREEMPT_RT.
